Reports to: Engineering Manager

Location: Afek Industrial Park, Rosh Ha'ayin

What will you do?

The Configuration Control engineer is responsible for maintaining a high-quality localized Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting local plant process flow. In this role he/she will have daily short-term objectives as well as long term projects to develop tools to improve configuration control process efficiency, quality, resolve issues. The role involves in cross-functionally work with materials department, supply chain, engineering, R&D and production areas

  • Maintain products bill of material in priority system – establish BOM, upload relevant document, define parts status and track P/N work flow
  • Open new part numbers inside priority (Make/buy) – define the exact P/N definition and the right flags 
  •  Generate weekly BOM Quality reports and highlight summaries.
  •  Identify root causes for BOM quality errors and work solution ideas to closure.
  • Work with cross-functional programs, engineering, sourcing, material, planning and production teams to implement engineering design change through ECR (Engineering Change Request) process.
  • Manage CCB (change control board) forum – Define agenda, extract report, follow and track action items
  •  Interface with design engineering to ensure accurate and timely alignment of the engineering BOM to the localized BOM
  • Work with IT team to develop and improve automated reports and tools.
  •  Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams on production kits and BOM structures
  • Research, resolve and maintain BOM changes and issues.
  •  Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
  •  Manage process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the work department

Requirements


What should you have?

  •  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in industrial Engineering/Operations Management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Bill of Materials (BOM) configuration, or manufacturing engineering environment
  • Experience with priority system - Must
  • Experience updating and maintaining Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools, i.e., Solid Works
  • Strong data analysis skills. (i.e. Microsoft Excel tools, macros, etc)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and BOM structures: print reading, fabrication, coatings, assembly and test procedures
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate across levels and within a complex matrix
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Outgoing, energetic, passionate, and positive attitude about change
  • Innovative thinker, able to come with new ideas and willing to take risks to creatively solve issues
  • Life-long learner who will remain coachable – passion around continuous and technology improvements
  •  High level of English
