Supplier Quality Manager

About The Position

Kornit Digital, a leading-edge company that develops, manufactures and markets state-of-the-art printing solutions for the textile, garment & apparel decorating industries, looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

General Purpose:

Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends and leading continuous improvement projects.

Main areas of responsibility:

  1. Work with external vendors, suppliers to ensure consistent quality standards and protocols exist and are followed rigorously for materials, supplies and manufactured goods.
  2. Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and vendors to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances
  3. Coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with Kornit requirements.
  4. Work with Purchasing and Engineering departments to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
  5. Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
  6. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
  7. Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including Supplier OTD (Past due), DPPM and waste
  8. Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals  
  9. Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
  10. Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system
  11. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
  12. Verify the implementation of solutions

Requirements

BSc in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering

At least 5 years of experience in Suppliers Quality of Multidisciplinary systems

Experience working with suppliers and driving improvements, meeting continuous improvement goals, making step change process improvements

Strong communication and facilitation skills, highly organized, motivated, detail oriented with excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and in Hebrew

Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications

Strong organizational skills, work well with diverse groups of people

Understanding of project management (experience preferred) able to function independently of direct supervision

Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc.                

Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and the ability to travel abroad

Exposure to DARM (records retention) and/or ISO9000 standards
