Kornit’s broad range of direct-to-garment printing systems offers low cost per print and built-in pre-treatment. Kornit’s latest HD technology and Rapid ink, available for the Avalanche platform, reduces the cost per print by up to 46% compared to previous standard versions of the Avalanche. With their quick return on investment and the high degree of automation, Kornit’s systems rival screen printing for print runs of up to 500 copies. Available at the booth for live demos will be two highly successful systems: the popular six-color-plus-white, highly productive Storm Hexa, as well as the entry level Kornit Breeze. Amit Dayagi, Product Marketing Manager with Kornit Digital, will hold a presentation titled “The 3rd e-commerce revolution hits the textile industry” which will provide an overview ofcurrent market trends and how they drive the industry’s demand for digital production solutions. The presentation will be held on Feb 22, 2 pm at the Conference Theatre at booth A15a.
E-Commerce business models are also high on the agenda for Buck Kim, Kornit’s President of the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Kim comments: “The opportunity for digital textile printing in Asia is huge. Based on our advanced technologies, Kornit constantly extends the break-even point between screen and digital printing further and further. FESPA Asia makes an ideal platform for Kornit to demonstrate our advanced systems to all garment decorators, screen printers, brands and e-Commerce-businesses wanting to find new and profitable additions to their product offerings.”
The Kornit Storm Hexa, a member of Kornit’s mid-level technology platform, has been equipped with state-of-the-art inkjet technology, improving print quality and cost per print. With the six colors ink set and Kornit’s patented integrated pre-treatment system, it is the most advanced industrial direct-to-garment printing system for medium-size businesses. Its features include 16 print heads and two additional colors for full CMYK, Red, Green, and White, as well as a recirculating ink system to reduce the ink consumption by up to 20% and to further optimize reliability. A higher number of nozzles increases the productivity by up to 40% over previous Storm configurations (over 150 light garments per hour in high productivity mode). It is also equipped with advanced productivity features such as a quick replace pallet mechanism, a 4 liter bulk ink system, an integrated humidity system and a backup power system for a quick and easy system start. It is ideal for color conscious applications such as the production of promotional and brand related garments. Launched in 2016, the Storm Hexa has been in high demand with dozens of installations globally.
The Breeze is Kornit’s entry-level system. Compact and powerful, it is designed specifically for small to mid-sized commercial digital t-shirt printing businesses that are looking for instant success. The system can print up to 40 garments per hour; white and CMYK printing takes place in one pass. Due to Kornit’s affordable ink prices, the Breeze’s cost per print is typically just a fraction of other entry-level systems in the market. The Breeze has been recently updated with a new print software that increases the productivity, print quality and ease-of-use of the system.
All of Kornit’s systems are based on the company’s unique NeoPigmentTM printing process. Kornit’s own water-based inks work on a variety of fibers (natural, man-made and blends) and allow for inline-pretreatment. After printing, garments are cured with a standard hot-air dryer. The inks are Oeko-Tex 100 certified and GOTS pre-approved.
Kornit’s presence at the show will be supported by its local partners Scala and Chaiyaboon. FESPA Asia is Asia’s premier event for the print professional Designed to connect the screen, digital and textile printing communities across the ASEAN+ region and beyond, this event will bring together print professionals with exhibitors showcasing the newest products, the latest innovations and offering the best advice.
