Kornit Digital demonstrates the digital opportunity for the fashion industry at this year’s LA Textile Show
Digital roll-to-roll and direct-to-garment printing systems enable new levels of creativity for designers seeking green options and high quality results
As the worldwide market leader for digital textile printing, Kornit Digital is to exhibit a broad range of design-led innovative applications at the Los Angeles International Textile Show (LA Textile, California Market Center, September 28-30). Kornit’s presence will enable visitors from around the world to learn more about the company’s innovative production processes and the outstanding results that can be delivered using digital technology. Benefits include new approaches to design and sampling, the profitable production of short-run and online jobs with minimized setup time, a dry printing process in one simple step, back-shoring of textile manufacturing and greener production. Kornit’s unique products are based on innovations such as its NeoPigment eco-friendly inks that work on a variety of fibers and are cured with simple hot-air drying.
Kornit Digital’s participation at LA Textile will feature real-life applications produced on the company’s roll-to-roll wide-format fabric printer, and on its renowned direct-to-garment systems that cover all budgetary and production requirements. The Kornit Allegro, with its print width of 1.8m, is the company’s single-step system that is designed for high-speed end-to-end production using NeoPigment high intensity inks. It is the only industrial textile printer available on today’s market that integrates all production steps in a single, integrated production line, removing the need for complicated pre- and post-treatments such as steaming and washing. That way, textile companies and brands can shorten their time to market, cut intermediators and eliminate inventory cost.
The broad portfolio of direct-to-garment printers from Kornit Digital also demonstrates the versatility of the NeoPigment process’s ink formulation that makes it simple to print direct to virtually every type of fabric, without compromise. These options span all productivity and budgetary levels, from entry-level to high-end production printers, and guarantee high quality, green results with ease of operation.
Kornit Digital’s NeoPigment process gives customers the broad benefits gained from working with pigmented inks that meet the strongest environmental regulations, including the OekoTex 100 and GOTS. “The fashion industry increasingly needs greener options that don’t compromise on quality and production throughput,” comments Paul Borucki, Managing Director of Kornit Digital North America. “Our latest NeoPigment inks enable a single formulation to be used across all fabric types, and are water-based with excellent color fastness and feel. Our mission at LA Textile is to extend the global awareness of digital printing to designers and fashion houses, and help to create new innovative applications.”
A broad selection of digitally printed applications will be on display at LA Textile, endorsing the versatility and creativity which can be produced using Kornit Digital’s systems. Additionally the company is featuring the winning designs and fabrics from FIT students, which were the results of a collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York on sustainable digital texting printing, a special assignment which was completed earlier this year.
