While fashion weeks always carry a unique signature for each designer or creative director, there\u2019s usually a common thread that ties them together. This often comes from the fact that we\u2019re all exposed to the same media and cultural moments that find their way into fashion, art, interior design, and more.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>This year\u2019s shows gave us a fresh look at bold colors, daring prints, and creative playing around with shapes and cuts\u2014new ideas aimed at surprising us, the consumers. This season brought plenty of challenges, which were clearly reflected on the runway: maximalism, extravagance, and lots of drama, all highlighting the chaos and disorder in the world today.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>In Full Bloom<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve covered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/i-can-buy-myself-flowers\/\">floral trend<\/a> before <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and it keeps evolving every season. These days, you\u2019ll spot it mostly in men\u2019s fashion (but not exclusively), as part of a new, softer masculine image. Ever since <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Succession\u2019s <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">final season came into our lives, this trend has been in full swing. But a year later, it seems like quiet luxury is on its last fumes, and now it\u2019s maximalism\u2019s time to shine on the runways. This shift could be due to a general feeling of fatigue and a desire to seize the moment, given how fragile and uncertain everything feels. We saw this trend in Abra\u2019s show, where they featured branded accessories with the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cartier<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> logo, and even clothing items.\u00a0 It\u2019s still hard to determine if this trend is a way to show the grotesqueness behind the logo worship or a way to acceptance of this status, one thing is cerain it\u2019s gaining momentum and is here to stay at least for the upcoming season. <\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-29998 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/7.png 1366w, https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/7-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/7-1024x576.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2><b>Agent of Chaos<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can\u2019t ignore the heavy feelings we\u2019re all carrying, making it seem like everything is falling apart and more chaotic than ever. Inflation is spiraling, wars are ongoing, assassination attempts on former presidents, scandals resurfacing\u2014this all finds its way to the runways, creating a mood that\u2019s dark, chaotic, and full of drama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29999\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/8.png 1366w, https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/8-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.kornit.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/8-1024x576.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1366px) 100vw, 1366px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As mentioned earlier, global moods and zeitgeists tend to have big influence on us all. Trends, feelings, and thoughts find their expressive outlet in visual mediums as default, and fashion has always been the space where this is fully realized and expressed, since it has no limits to it. This is why we often see our collective feelings, fears, and drama come alive and form into a trend on the runway in a bold and unapologetic way, sometimes making us feel uncomfortable, and other times offering us comfort.
